MTV Video Music Awards After-Parties

Beyoncé arrives at the 40/40 Club to celebrate her birthday and the release of B'Day.

Manhattan was scene central last night as an army of Moonman-toting musicians and their friends descended on seemingly every hot venue in town. Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. took over Buddkan, where Sean Combs and Paris Hilton kicked back; Virgin Mobile and Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo (who had reason to get a little crazy after Gnarls's double win) hosted the action at Gotham Hall, where guests were treated to performances by the Rapture and Arckid (Liv Tyler's husband's band); and 50 Cent and LL Cool J rocked out at the Tao bash sponsored by Blender magazine and Glacéau Vitamin Water. And that's not to mention the festivities at Jay-Z's 40/40 Club, where Beyoncé, toasting her 25th birthday and the release of her new album, B'Day, had one more reason to smile: her win earlier in the evening for Best R&B video.
